FREE film - ONE NIGHT ONLY - "Defining Hope"
Posted almost 8 years ago by Fran Beall
On Wednesday Evening, November 1st at the Athens Library on Baxter Street, the Athens Chapter of Georgia Nurses Association is sponsoring a free film called "Defining Hope." This film is being shown in theaters across the country for one night only - Nov. 1st. It is a film about Hospice, but it is also a film about living, and will be of general interest to the public - especially if you are a friend or caregiver or family member for a person with a chronic serious illness.
Watch Defining Hope on November 1st to see how nurses are transforming the culture of dying in America. With our rapidly aging population and incalculable challenges in healthcare and end-of-life care, we are not dying the way we used to. When faced with a life-threatening illness, nurses can guide us through very complex choices and help us figure out what makes life worth living.
All are welcome to this event, and registration is NOT necessary! We hope you will come, and share this information with others who may be interested as well. (Nurses who attend may also receive 1.25 CE contact hours).
You may watch a trailer of the film as well as learning more about the film, here: www.hope.film
I hope many of you will come to see the wonderful film, as well as sharing this information with others! Again, the film is free and registration is not necessary!
