PSQI Conference
Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Conference
The PSQI conferences are intended to identify, discuss, and develop action plans on how we can improve patient safety, quality and efficiency in our healthcare system. We do so by reviewing patient safety and quality events focusing on factors that contributed to the event so we can learn and improve the care we deliver. These efforts will ultimately contribute to preventing or significantly minimizing future events. By standardizing and decreasing variation in our processes, we also hope to effectively translate current quality strategies, standards, and mandates into sustainable daily practice here at Piedmont Athens Regional.
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Define medical errors, recognize the scope, and explain the causes of medical errors.
- Discuss evidence based strategies to help decrease medical errors
- Diagnostic errors
- Medication errors
- Falls
- Hospital acquired infections
Target Audience:
